Do books multiply like rabbits?

ACK! Because I was painting the den, I had all the bookshelves dismantled and books stacked all over my living room. I've spent the morning putting them back - with much frustration. Now I'm looking at a bunch of piles (to store in attic, to give away,to go on the kid's shelves, to recycle etc.) and am still scratching my head as to how that stuff all fit in there. I swear they multiplied overnight!

I refuse to buy any more bookshelves! (not that I know where I'd put them if I did!)

Does anyone else have this problem?

Yeah I seem to have this problem when it comes to paperbacks. I would go through them and sort them out in what to keep, what to not. The try and donate the books, or even sell them to a used bookstore...of course then you end up with more...but I like to give mine to the library, and they re-sell them to people. That would be the best way to go about it...
