Do any adults ever order off the children’s menu?

Goofy - did the same thing. On seafood day(I am allergic to shellfish) I went through the kids line as I wanted to make sure I didnt get any mixed in as I am quite allergic. A staff member came after me quite aggressively for doing it but then was apolgetic when I explained why I was doing it.

You don't need to order off the kids menu for simple foods....every night on the adult menu is a section with with just plain chicken or steak and you can get any kinds of sides with it....

I'm surprised that they weren't welcoming to adults in the children's lines. I mean, I'm sure there's a reason, but wonder why?

Sorry - guess I am the only one, but since you can order anything you want, why not try something differen, you can have 3 meals if you like, take a bite, if you don't like it you don't have to eat it, and if all else fails, have the chicken. I just think by going with the notion that you don't want to try anything, you are not giving yourself a chance. My mother in law is like this, fried chicken fingers no matter where we went, finally my husband said try it!!!! It was fried calamari, she took a bite and loved it! Now eats it, onion soup, same thing! Granted we felt like we were dealing with our kid, but especially on a cruise, you can taste so many different things, why not give it a try!

Last night I told my kids that they'd be able to order more of a food they liked, could have dessert, appetizers, etc. My 14yo son was especially excited. We won't be going for a couple of years so I can't imagine how much my 4 kids will eat by then, especially my 2 middle children wo will be 13 and 16. It might even save me $ to take the cruise! ;)

Does anyone have a link to the childrens menus?? My sons pretty picky and I'd like to take a look.

I'm not sure this is the exact reason, but the only times I saw the staff block people from the "kids' line" is when the clubs were going down to lunch. This was even when my children were with me.

dang, though, now I want a corndog! :mickeybar

I've ordered and enjoyed the Mickey Bar as well. Just last night, while having a Dove Bar, mentioned to DS that it wasn't nearly as good as the Mickey Bar.

What menu contains the Mickey shaped Ravioli? Is that from a kids dinner menu of the 7 day? Okay, true confessions--though I am middle aged it is just plain fun to eat foods in the Mickey shape--and I definitely want to order some Mickey Ravioli if it is available at a dinner. Or is it on a menu at the sit down lunch? Any help appreciated.

My husband prefers the chocolate pudding off the children's menu... he says it tastes better. :)

It was from our 7-night western cruise, and it was definitely at dinner. I can tell from the picture that it was one of our Parrot Cay nights. We were on the cruise that got extended to a 10-night cruise because of Hurricane Frances and for some dinners they reused menus from other nights. I know for sure it wasn't "Pirate Night", so it had to be one of the other nights. Sorry, that's probably not much help. LOL But it was definitely at dinner and not lunch, that much I know for sure :)

P.S. It's possible that they serve it other times, maybe at lunch, but I didn't specifically notice it other times.

Thanks for all your input. I love ravioli. The Mickey shaped one sounds like a lot of fun. I am sure we will all be ordering the Mickey ice cream bar.
Thanks

Because when the kids from the clubs are there they want it to be a "secure" area - limited entrance / exit points. This is so they can keep track of the kids that they are currently responsible for. DCL doesn't want a kidnapping. Everywhere the kids clubs go has limited access points and councilors there to "guard" them. This is one of the reasons they don't go to the Mickey pool during the day - there is NO WAY to secure that area (and the councilors are not lifeguards). When they go up to the sports court is for them only - everyone else has to leave for the duration.

Not true.... Kids clubs eat earlier than everyone else 11:30 - 12:00... and we were going through the lunch line around 1ish. The kids are done way before then....

(maybe they just don't make as many kid things that would quickly get depleted if everyone went through that line.)

My 64 year old mother ate off the kid's menu many nights. She wanted smaller portions and it worked out great for her.
