Do all quad staterooms on Magic have bunkbeds?

Our last cabin had the sofa and the bed that comes down from the ceiling. Are all quads like that or do some have the double pull out hide-a-beds?

no, there are many staterooms that only sleep 3... they do not have the overhead bed.

All of the non suite rooms at least have the main bed (which can be split into two twins) and then the convertable sofa bed. Then there are some standard rooms that sleep 4, with the pull down bed above the sofa bed.

The family stateroom can sleep 5 , because it has extra square footage to allow for an additional pull out bed, which basically pulls out right in front of the verandah door.

In the PassPorter Disney Cruise Line book they have a page that tells you how many each and every stateroom sleeps. Example, my room 6555 sleeps 4.
Right now I cannot find my PassPorter, but if you post your room number I'll check it for you when I find it.

Hello, fellow NCer: To my knowledge, there are no double pull-out sofas on DCL--I have seen them on RCCL, but not on DCL.

Yes, all quad staterooms for cats 5-12 have the bed in the ceiling. Only single person sofa sleepers.

Thank you for your replies. The kids loved the pull down bed from the ceiling when we were on the Wonder. It really gave the bunkbed feel with the single sofa.

We just returned from the Splendour of the Seas and we had a grand suite. It had a queen bed and a pull out double sofa. The kids weren't happy having to sleep together and it really was uncomfortable. We had to ask the attendant to bring in one of those foam egg cratey thingy to pad it. That worked out much better.

all cat. 5-12 don't have a pull down bed only some of them do. we just got back from a cruise and had 2 rooms a cat. 6 and a cat. 11 and neither of them had pull down beds. the both had couches that could sleep 2.

cruising goose: do you mean you had fold out sofa beds if the sofas could sleep two?? I've never heard of these on DCL--what staterooms were you in that had these.

cjsmom97 said that all quad staterooms for cats 5-12 had the pull down bed from the ceiling. Qud means sleeps four, so they ahve to. There are rooms that only sleep 3. If you book 4 in your room you have to have that one. they have to have a bed per person ( the king is counted as two beds)

Lthouseprincess is correct - Quad does mean four :earseek: Before I purchased the Passporter, that was the same question I hounded the travel agent with. She kept telling me, but it's a Quad, and I kept saying, Yes, I know, but are you sure it sleeps four? :earboy2:
So after the intervention of some of my friends/translators, I realized that if a room only sleeps three, they're not calling it a Quad. I'm one of those who would lose their head if it weren't attached to my body.

Hey Corryn, would you mind confirming in your Passporter that both the cabins we have booked for 2005 and 2006 are quads? I would really appreciate it! They are rooms 6040 and 6048. Thanks so much! I gave our TA a list of cabins we might want but didn't even think about needing a quad (I'm sure the TA was on top of it but it would ease my mind to know)

Have a great new year!
