Do all of us need to be AAA members to book AAA rate?

I realize this could be a trivial question but I have to ask, we have 6 people in our group and I recently booked 3 rooms at Disney Resort Pop Century for Feb-2007 through AAA discount. I was wondering if disney require all of us to be AAA members or just my AAA card is enough?

Are all the rooms in your name? If that's the case, I would think one card would suffice. If not, you might want to call to confirm.

As long as one of the people in your party has a AAA card, that will suffice. In 2004, I booked the discount using my parent's membership even though the reservations were in my name. Just remember that person has to be standing there with their card when you check in...they will ask to see the card! :thumbsup2

Calling and asking never hurts and can save you a lot of headaches upon arrival! :goodvibes

I did the same thing in May. The reservation was in my name, but my mom had the AAA card. Actually, she was in the TV area of Pop Century with my dd when I checked in, but I brought her driver's license and AAA card with me to check in and explained where she was at, and they never questioned it. I made a reservation for later this month and used her card again, explaining that the ressie would be in my name and the card in hers, and they said that would be fine. :thumbsup2

Cool, I was a little worried about this. I booked all 3 rooms for us under my AAA card and I think my cuz might be a member as well. But I will call Disney just to be certain. Sounded like it's no problem. Oh, I wonder where else do you guys use your AAA card in WDW? You could tell I'm pretty new at this. I had AAA for about 2 years now, never ever make much use of it except for my car. Now with the 20% off on hotel, I'm like rediscovering it ;)

They never asked my DW for the AAA card when she checked us in at All Star Movies last year. It was under her mothers name (who was also there) but her mom wasn't in the line for checkout.

When I just booked our trip for next year at AAA the agent never asked to see my AAA card (which was surprising).

Maybe if you book though a AAA office then at the hotel they are assuming that your card/membership was checked with them.

Its always good to have a least one person in the group with a AAA membership though.
