If you eat at a disney buffet with a 2 year old do you get charged for them?

I know if you're on the dining plan it's assumed they'll eat from your plate but don't know how it works if you are not on the dining plan.

Thanks!

You will not be charged for them as long as they share the same plate as you. Some of the buffets have been known to charge if you actually get your child his/her own plate, so be careful.

Whenever we've gone to the Character Buffets, or any of the buffets such as Biergarten, our grandchildren younger than age 3 have been free, and have had their own plates. The pricing for these meals starts at age 3. Anyone younger than that for the buffets is free.

on our last trip my DS was 2, we went to mostly buffet and we were never charged for our son and he always had his own plate, and at some places like Princess storybook he was even allowed to order a kids meal and we were not charged.

You won't be charged. They even gave us DD's drink for free. They can have their own plates at buffets.

The process varies from restaurant to restaurant. It is best to ask your server or the host how it works for children under 3.
