DNS look up failure

Does anyone know what this error message means? I've been getting it for about the past week when I try to view a webpage and its getting more frequent. I refresh (sometimes several times) and eventually it comes up but its driving me crazy. Is this a problem with my computer or my ISP?

The DNS name lookup failure means that the first part of the URL you are requesting contains a domain name that does not exist. Double-check the address (URL) you typed to ensure it is exactly correct.
