DNA MAtch in St. Guillen Case

A "Breaking News" flash on MSNBC - they've found Darryl Littlejohn's blood on the ties used to bind Imette St. Guillen's hands....

So very sad for that poor girl.

We aren't hearing anything out this way......how did they figure out he was involved so quickly after her body was found?

I can't help but think someone did this to her because she was excelling in the branch of criminal study she was in.....like a sicker than sick joke of some kind!

I think he's been a "person of interest" for some time. Once they made the connection to that bar, they investigated the employees, and discovered his parole violation. He was taken into custody for that parole violation, and they were able to get a DNA sample, which they matched to blood they found on the plastic ties used to bind her hands behind her back. He is also a possible suspect in several other rapes.

They said there was evidence of a "BTK" like scenario - the tape used to bind her head was vertical, not wrapped horizontally like you think someone would have done it. It's just so sad and awful.

I have to wonder if something happened between the two of them in that bar that triggered his rage response - aren't many rapes a result of rage, not just a sex crime??

Who knows? My gut would say he was "scoping prey" and she was on his radar.

Just sick, sick, sick....I am glad they have evidence.

Yes, I followed both of those cases. Both tragic. I wish they would find the person whose DNA was found on JonBenet...

What do you all think about the family that owns the bar....apparently the bartender is member of the family and suddenly changed his story saying that he saw Littlejohn escort her out of the bar at closing...and than he heard a scream. WHY would this guy not have said this a week ago....why did he wait???????

Just bumping this back up. They are discussing it on Live and Direct right now. A Reporter from CBS did an interview with Littlejohn and he maintains his innocence. I have to wonder if he's being framed or if there was someone else invovled and he went along with it. I'm thinking someone else at the bar was in on it and that's who called 911 and that person is the same person who's DNA was found on the blanket and the same person that raped her.
I guess we'll see what happens.
