Dme ???

I am sure this question has been asked and answered at one time or another.After 10 trips we are thinking of not renting a car.So we are turning to DME.We are arriving at 11:00 pm.Will they deliver our bags close to our resort arrival or in the early a.m??I guess we should pack bags for the first night.
Also is there ever a problem getting a pick up if you have to be at the airport for a 6:00 am departure

If I were arriving at that time of night, I would pick up my own bags. That way you don't have to worry about when they arrive.
As far as the return to the airport time, if you have a 6:00 am flight, they will have you check in at the bus area at about 3:15ish...pretty early. But, the buses are up and running. When I returned to POP after an EMH at about 2 am, there were buses picking people up for the return to the airport!!

Depends on which airline you are flying in on. All baggage claim is on the 2nd level, you'll arrive on the 3rd level. DME is on level 1, the bottom-most level. DME is currently on Side A of the terminal, but they are moving to Side B in early Oct. So, if you are flying in on Delta, JB, among others, you would just take the monorail shuttle from the gate area to the main terminal. You will be arriving on Side B if you are flying one of those airlines. You will take the escalator to level 2, grab your luggage at the baggage claim carousel, then head on down to level 1. Somebody had a terrific map of MCO but I can't remember where it is now.
Also, if you do decide to grab your own luggage, do NOT put those yellow luggage tags on your checked bags. If you do, they won't make it out to the baggage claim area, but will be pulled off behind the scene and put on a special truck that will dispurse the bags to the appropriate resorts, and you'll end up waiting for them for hours most likely. Thank you for all your info !!!!! I think we will give DME a try.Hey it will save us over $300 for a rental,we're at WDW for 10 days.

They won't automatically deliver luggage after 11PM. However, when it does arrive, you will get a message on your phone. It's a silent message and you will only know it is there by the light. If you are awake and want your luggage, call down to bell services and they will bring it up.
