DME- What if your flight is delayed?

I read on one of the threads that if your flight is delayed you should call to let DME know. I don't have my luggage tags and we leave in two days (so don't expect them to arrive before we leave). If our flight is delayed (and I don't have my tags) does anyone know if we still should call DME and let them know that we will be delayed or not worry about it?

While it NEVER hurts to call they just try to keep bus availibility right on track.
If you don't have luggage tags anyhow they are going to have to do a manual pull anyhow.It should not delay you at all.

My current suggestion is to only call the toll free number but don't call before a meal and also skip the call if it is (now) in the middle of a tight connection en-route.
