DME Question

We are looking at heading to Disney after our 5 day cruise. We would be leaving/returning from Miami. We could rent a car and drive from Miami to Orlando. What I'm wondering is if we would be able to take the DME from the airport after returning our car. We would be flying out of MCO 5 days later. So, can you take DME that way or do you have to fly in??

Do not have to fly in to take DME. Since you are driving in, you will already have your luggage and just take it with you to the ME check-in. The driver will put under the bus and you will have it when you get to the resort. When scheduling ME you are asked for a flight number. Either give them a flight number that arrives about the time you think you will arrive or if booking by phone let them know that you are driving in. Arrival flight numbers are not important, they don't schedule buses based on arrivals, but rather by when the bus is full.

Just remember to call and book your DME reservation!! People that aren't flying in sometimes forget to make that call. Then, DME is not obligated to allow you on the bus. You have to have the existing reservation!!!
