DME question

I am going to be staying at Fort Wilderness campground, and the morning I leave I want to go to Yacht Club resort and book the future stay program. Can I catch a DME bus at Yacht Club, to save the hassle of getting back to Ft Wilderness on time?

How would you know which resort the DME bus is going to next? And if it isn't just going straight to the airport? Besides that you have to show your DME papers and you won't be let on the bus unless it is the time you are suppose to be on it. So, in answer to your question, no you can't. Your best bet would be to take the boat over to the MK, then board a YC bus. You can also take a DtD bus from your resort, then at DtD, take the YC bus.

I've never used DME before, so excuse me for my lack of knowledge. But would it be possible to set up my return DME bus from another resort (in this case yacht Club)

No.

DME will only drop you off (on check-in day) at — and pick you up (on check-out day) from — the WDW resort hotel where you have your reservation.

It is possible to set up pick up at another resort. Now the question is would they let you do that if you are not stayinbg at the YC. For example, we used DME last trip and we checked into the BW, but we were switching resorts midstay to SSR. So, we had to have DME pick us up at SSR for departure and they did it with no problem. But, they did have the ressie # and I really don't know if they would've set it up if I didn't have a ressie there. Also, how would you get all your luggage to the YC? I doubt they would transfer it for you if you are not checking into the YC. Even if they did, your luggage isn't gauranteed to get to the resort until 3pm.
I hope you didn't think my previous post was rude. I'm just trying to help and figure out away for you to do this. Other options would be to stay your last night at the YC. Also, is the YC the only resort you can book the future stay program from?

DME picked you up at the resort from which you checked out that day.

ACJT is asking about being picked up at a resort from which ACJT is not checking out that day. The answer in that case is no.

As Horace states, no, this cannot be done. Guests returning to the airport on Disney's Magical Express receive their transit information the day before departure (now, granted, since it's usually left on the doorknob or under the door, I'm not sure what the procedure is for campsites).
The OP's pickup location and time will be at Fort Wilderness. There will be space on that bus for the OP.
There will not be assigned space for the OP on the bus leaving from the Yacht Club, and he/she will not be expected on that bus.


Is there a particular reason you can't go to the Yacht Club on any OTHER day of your trip, to book a reservation on the Future Trip Program? Is it even open to Guests not staying at the resorts where it's being sold? Isn't this a limited test?

I just read up on this offer and it says you can book it from your phone in your room before check out or the day of check out. So, no need to go to the YC.
