DME Pick-up time

Our DME a couple weeks ago was only scheduled for 2 hours 40 minutes before our flight, and we still had another pickup to go. By the time we got 4 kids through security (minimal line at security, but we went through the wheelchair accessible line for my FIL so that moves super slowly) and had them use the bathroom the plane was already boarding.

I have contacted them when I had a time I wasn't comfortable with and asked to be moved to an earlier bus. I have been accommodated every time I've done that.

Yeah. DME can flex if you want earlier, but don't expect to ask for a later bus and get it.

Oh yeah. I'd always rather be early and have time to sit and read or whatever than be rushed though.

I was referring specifically to the people who got a pick-up time at 2 hours 40 minutes before their flight. I would have been changing that immediately.

In the future I will. We have always had exactly three hours before, and it has been plenty of time (even with a super long security line we encountered three years ago). But after the stress of this one I won't take any chances with a shorter window.
