DME on busy park days

We are trying to decide if we should pick up our adult kids on the morning of Dec 24 th or let them take DME to the resort. My concern as we are staying at the Contemporary is the backup of traffic to enter the MK. We have seen it backed up for miles in other years around the holidays.

If we drive, we are more than likely to get caught in that traffic. The buses would probably be caught up in it as well unless they have some back road options. Anyone know if this is the case?

I'd rather be stuck on a bus with a driver whose job it is to deal with the traffic than in a car with my parents (no offense)

The buses use a dedicated lane through the parking structure. But on that day there will be traffic just getting to the lane. It's just would they rather be on a bus or in your car.

Depending on where they are coming from they could take a back way in but that isn't guaranteed.

Do they have bathrooms on DME?

Adult kids I would have them take DME.

If you decide to pick them up, use Bonnet Creek to Vista (going past FW) onto World. That will bypass the TTC/MK parking entrance. There is also a new flyover to the right that you take to avoid the gate entrance. I have done a few other routes, but I would have to look at a map to refresh my memory.

Hopefully, the DME drivers will know the alternate routes to take to avoid the park traffic.
