DME...do I have to book my FLIGHT through Disney?

Do I have to book my flight through Disney w/ my rooms to be able to use DME? I tried searching,as I was sure this has come up before, but couldn't find anything, sorry if it has!! TIA!

Nope, any flight is eligible, although only participating airlines can check in bags and issue boarding passes at the resort on the return trip.
