DME Comment!!

I just paid off my vacation this morning (Woo Hoo!)

I found out a couple things about the DME that I figured would be helpful if I passed them along....

If you do not book with Disney's website, they cannot add it to your itinerary. You have to call the person who made your reservation.

I booked online with American Airlines. (I put a deposit down in May and called them today to pay it off)

You have to add the DME BEFORE you pay the balance or they cannot add it in for you!

I was fortunate enough to get the same person when I called that I spoke to this morning and she was able to add it in. (She said it was her fault because she didn't mention it ahead of time....)

Nowhere on AA's website or on Disney's, did I find that you have to add in DME before you pay off your trip.

I thought that I read somewhere that even if someone made no DME reservations, but had a hotel ressie at Disney, that they could add it at the airport.

That seems kind of strange that disney would say that. What if you decide at the last minute to add DME on.

Hopefully, this is just a TA that is ill-informed.

Not sure what you're saying is true.

I booked and PAID IN FULL in Novemeber for my July vacation. DME gets announced in January and I immediately signed up for this via my TA, whom I had previously booked my package with.

Maybe it's just an American Airlines thing then....

Disney could not help me because they could not even pull up my Reservation, i had to go back to AA...
