DME and renting

Hi all. I've got a couple questions on DME for renters. We've rented a couple times before and have another rental coming up in a couple weeks. My questions are:

We are coming up on about 3 weeks away from our trip. Should we be concerned that we haven't received our luggage tags yet? I know that the DME reservation was made almost a month ago. I figured it may be a little late due to holiday mail, but starting to get a little concerned.

Do the luggage tags usually get sent to the renter or the DVC member? In the past I could have sworn they went to the DVC member, but I could be wrong.

Am I able to call DME directly and confirm they have everything ok? If so, do I call DME or DVC MS? I thought I called DVC MS, but can't recall exactly.

DVC Member Services will not speak to non members. I am not sure about Magical Express. I would confirm with the person renting to you that they have made the arrangements for you. :)
 
Confirm with the member, but don't be too stressed. Last October we went to BWV for Food & Wine and also took our DD and her hubby. They live in Seattle, so were travelling separately. We made the ressies at 11 months and ordered ME MONTHS ahead of time. DD never did receive the tags (they go to the person traveling/arriving, not the Member, by the way). I called MS and they told me no problem, just have her go up to the ME station when she arrived and give them her luggage stubs, or get the luggage herself when she got off the plane and take it and herself to the ME station. MS said they would have a list and she would be on it. For what it's worth, I was told it happens all the time.
 
You can call ME 48 hours before your trip, everything is supposed to be in your name and in their computers then - ME # 866-599-0951

and like the previous poster said, if you dont get your tags, just grab your luggage (a year ago there were ME personnel at the baggage claim asking if you wanted them to take care of your luggage, not sure if this has changed) and take it with you!

go down to the ME check in desk and get ready to board - they will get your outbound info so you wont have problems checking your luggage going home!
