just wondering if you can eat on the bus! thinking we are going to have to grab a quick bite at the airport and don't want to get to the bus and have them say no food and make us wait for the next shuttle.

I don't know if there is a specific policy, but I can honestly say in my eight trips to Disney on ME, I have never once even see people standing in line or on the bus with food or drinks, other than the occasional bottled water.

thanks just trying to save time it takes our kids forever to eat.

They used to have a sign up by the driver that said no food or drink.

I don't know if it's still that way; we haven't used ME in awhile.

No eating allowed on the busses. There is no one to clean them if a mess was made, except for the driver, and that is not their job. Also bugs would be all over the bus in a heartbeat.

I quick bite at the airport shouldn't take too long. Or just have some sandwhiches in your carry-on. Eat them right before landing, and you are all set!

Why not just take food with you on the plane and let your kids eat during the flight? You are permitted to bring food items with you -- sandwiches, snacks, etc. Only thing you can't bring is liquid/beverages.

Edited to clarify -- you can bring food on the plane, not the bus. You can't bring liquid through airport security but you can buy it on the other side of security and take it on the plane.

Nope, food is not allowed on the bus. The ride is only about 30 mins. If the kids are really hungry, then you may have to make a choice...either eat at the airport before heading to DME area, or wait until you get to your resort. Or just bring lots of snacks on the plane. You can always pack sandwiches for the plane, or buy something at the airport after you get through security. That's what we do. Yes, it's a bit more expensive, but it's worth it to us.

Just to clarify, you can't take "liquid/beverages" through the TSA security checkpoint, but it's perfectly okay to take "liquid/beverages" purchased within the secure part of the terminal onto the plane.

Thanks for the eat-on-the-plane idea. We are flying with a 3-hour time difference and I was trying to figure out how to eat "lunch" when our plane leaves at 9 a.m. Pacific and arrives at 4 p.m. Eastern, plus time to the resort. I think they're all getting a "sack lunch."

Actually, you can bring drinks on the plane - they just need to be purchased after you go through security.
