DME and checking in at BLT

Greetings all!

We usually drive but are going for a quick holiday trip next weekend and taking DME. Now that BLT check-in is in the BLT lobby, would we need to go from where DME drops us in front on the Contemporary to BLT to check in and then back to the Contemporary to drop our carry on with Bell Services assuming our room is not ready yet? I'm not sure if we can drop luggage before we actually check in.

You can check in at the Contemporary unless you checked in online. In that case your packet will be at BLT.

I'm not sure if ME drops off at BLT or the Contemporary, but you can leave your luggage at BLT's new desk. Actually, they send a bellhop over from the Contemporary and he takes your luggage. Then they deliver it to your room when you call for it. At least this is how it worked for us in October.

Thanks, that's good to know. We did do online check-in so we'll plan to take everything with us to BLT and go from there.

As part of a commitment to the continuous improvement of the Member experience, Disney Vacation Club has created a new check-in desk to allow Members staying at Bay Lake Tower to check in at the Bay Lake Tower lobby.

This convenient new service is available from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. daily until further notice.

Members arriving by Disney's Magical Express will continue to check-in next door at Disney's Contemporary Resort (where the Front Desk operates 24 hours a day).

The check-in desk in the Bay Lake Tower lobby also provides a variety of services for all Bay Lake Tower Members and Guests to enjoy throughout their stay, including check-out, ticket sales, dining reservations, recreation and spa reservations, and more.
