DLR trip planning 10/30 - 11/5/2022

We are thinking about a trip to DLR the week of 10/30 - 11/5/2022 with 4 day park hoppers and possibly a Halloween party thrown in.

Will we see the parks transform from Halloween decorations to Christmas ones while we are there? My daughter would love to see that happen overnight, but I'm not sure that is the case! But as the week goes along, maybe?

Also, do you think that week will be crazy busy?

You won’t see all of the decorations change overnight. There’s a small gap between the official Halloween season and Christmas season there to, I assume, allow for the transition time.
As far as crowds, that’s actually a good week to go. I have gone a lot in October and November over the years and my experience is that most of October is pretty busy (especially the week of Columbus Day), but Halloween itself doesn’t seem as busy. Early November is great. Late November is quite busy. My guess is that most people going that time of year want to hit one of the two holiday seasons so those 2 weeks or so between them aren’t as busy.

We have not found the parks busy on Halloween. We’ve been that week several times.

Because of the flights I’m finding, it may work out better for us to fly in on Wed Oct 26, which means we’d be in the parks starting the 27th with Halloween being our last day.

Do you think that has potential to be way busier than the first few days of Nov? Our would it not make much difference?
