Hi Everyone!
Ok so I am a DVC memeber and i was wondering about tickets. I can't use my points for tickets, so i was wondering how i would purchase them. Would i purchase them at check in or can i buy them in advanced? We are staying at the Grand Californian in mid-April.
Thanks for all the help!
Ben

You can buy them at checkin or at the gates, you can buy them ahead of time for a discount from disneyland.com (gives you a voucher to exchange for tix at the gates), you can get them from getawaytoday.com (pick them up at willcall or, I think, at the ticket booths, and use code podcast while ordering to get $10 which takes care of their service charge)...

check the member site, last i looked there was a $50 discount @ the gate (1st time AP purchase)

when i priced them out believe the break even point in the summer (high season) was 5 nights, not sure what the tix (5 day PH) would cost in April...you'd have check it out

you can buy discounted tix & upgrade @ front gates...however, when i called DL I was told that they can determine exactly the $ amount you paid for said ticket & it will be the amount deducted from the AP.

ps i did purchase discounted tix & the price i paid was stamped on back of tix

which do u guys prefer? Is it better at check in and getting it on you keycard or is it better to buy in advanced and get a paper ticket?

At DLR, your tickets are always separate from your room key. You'll have your room key, your tickets or AP (I don't know if your intention is to upgrade to an AP, but if it is, then you don't need to bother about getting a "deal" on your initial ticket purchase, b/c you'll just pay the AP amount anyway), and as a DLR hotel guest, you'll also have a white slip of paper that you show when charging things to your room and when you're entering for your Magic Mornings (as a DLR guest you get as many MMs as are offered during your stay, it's not tied to your ticket like it would be if you were staying off-site).

3 things to carry around! :scared:

really? wow! i never would of thought that it was all three seperate "cards." But i'll look into the sights suggested earlier. I don't think we would get annual passes though...i don't think we go down enough...

you've got to wonder why they don't "upgrade" their computer system to just have it all on key/resort card:confused3

i know...they should take up the "Key to world card" sysytem they have at wdw...but anyway can anyone tell me what exactly this means: "Includes one Magic Morning admission for early entry at select attractions in a designated theme park!"
That is directly from the official DLR site. Does that mean we only get to use one magic morning for our entire trip?

since you're staying onsite u would be able to experience the EE/MM whenever it is offered during your stay.

as i understand it, certain multi-day PHs offer 1 visit also

know there's a schedule somewhere here as to what days of the week (probably on mousesavers too), believe during our 5 day stay in June it's offered twice.:thumbsup2

so i can use it whenever it is offered. ok...sounds good:woohoo:

That wording is just totally bizarro about the MM.

And it's unadvertised (exactly the opposite of EMH) that resort guests get it every day during their stay that it's offered (including, I hear, the day you check in if you check in WAY early and the day you check out), so don't be concerned that you can't find the info anywhere.

When we checked in to PP last Sept, I had a healthy skepticism that we would get the perk, then the CM gave us a sheet of info about PP, including the fact that we could have MM (then it was EE) for those days, and then she reviewed which days exactly that would mean for us. :)

And just in case you don't really even know what MM is, it means you get in an hour before DL opens, and all/most of Fantasyland is open (Storybookland ride usually seems to open later), along with, usually, Nemo and Buzz in Tomorrowland. :)
