Have you seen the google earth 3D depiction of WDW? It's awesome. I'm really surprised that the same has not been done for DLR. There are a few attractions there such as Mickey's Fun Wheel, WOC, and Soarin' Over California. There's also the Disneyland Hotel (the towers, at least). In DL park, only the monorail makes a 3D appearance.

Across the street the Convention Center and the Hilton look fabulous.

I've been checking back in there now and then over the past 6 months, and the number of models is slowly increasing. Has anyone heard about an effort to build up the resort the way they did for WDW? It would be great.

can you post some links? I am usually good at finding things through google, but whenever I look for Disneyland on google earth I can't find anything.

Actually, I was talking about Google Earth that you download and install on your computer (http://www.google.com/earth/index.html). When you run it, you can search for Disneyland and it will fly you around the globe and zoom in on the spot you're looking for. If you have the 3D buildings box checked, you can see all the 3D models of buildings that people have submitted. In some places there just a few of them scattered here and there in a city. But in places like WDW or, I believe in downtown Paris, you can see a whole virtual city popping up out of the map. You can tilt the view, zoom in to street level and fly between (or through) the buildings. It's really cool. But as I said, if you go to Disneyland, you'll only see a handful of structures.

Here's an example of a shot of the Grand Floridian Resort. I overlaid a new building plan that people are speculating might become the next DVC resort. I was trying to see what kind of view the new building would have of the Magic Kingdom.

Using Google maps on the internet, if you search for Disneyland, it should take you right to the resort. Same with Bing maps (http://www.bing.com/maps), although Bing has a bird's eye view option that shows you an angled photo of the place instead of a direct overhead satellite view. This is pretty useful, too as you can change the direction of the view to look in any of the 4 different compass directions.

Wikimapia is cool because people have marked and labeled each different ride or area of the park on the satellite view. Good for figuring our where things are if you've never been there.

I prefer the Bing tilt view which give actual images over the 3D google maps that often loose a lot of detail.

Though I do like how that screen shot you captured has the rumored GF DVC expasion on it.
