Though this is my first post, I have been to disneyland a few times as a child then as a teen, this time, being 19, I have met someone that I love dearly and would like to take that person to DLR for their birthday present.

Now I haven't been to DLR for more than 2 days (That special 2 day park hopper or whatever it was called for So.Cal residents) I have no idea what I should have planed for a 4 day/night trip.

Anybody would be so nice as to give me a few links/tips for this trip? We're possibly staying at the main resort hotel, getting a regular standard room plus a themed room (They said they WANT a princess themed room <.<) times for characters that appear? (mainly tigger and the princesses) Special things going on in that month/week? Rides closed down? Anything that would help me understand what I can and can't do for that week. Also some tips on things that most "noobs" of us wouldn't know (fastpass, hidden things people that go to DLR know about)

Though I am considered an adult, i've always acted childish/very very happy when I would go to Disneyland, it's just a great place to let go of your worries in life and have a blast. Many, many thanks to anybody who responds to this thread.

Guess my questions have already been answered or something, guess I need to look around more. I feel like a big time goof now. :(

Still can't wait to go to DL, always loved it! :D

I can't answer all of your questions, but I know that you are just missing the CHOC walk on the 18th, so you should not be hitting any MAJOR events. October has been less and less crowded the past couple of years with lots of schools taking fall breaks in Oct (from Arizona and Utah). I am not positive but there may be a some over your dates.

Tigger should appear in the meet and greet area back behind splash mountain in front of the Pooh's Corner store daily. The princesses are usually only seen at the Princess Fantasy Faire (PFF) in Fantasyland or at Ariel's Grotto Character Meal in DCA. You can check at City Hall daily for specifics on characters times and locations.

The only rides that I can think of that will be down will be Gadget's Go-Coaster, Casey Junior Train and Storybookland Canal Boats.

I think you mean more and more crowded. Seeing that the park hours are 9AM-9PM means that the parks won't be empty, but not crowded enough to warrant longer hours.

You should definitely check out Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy and Haunted Mansion Holiday, which are themed specially for the Halloween holidays. Also don't miss the special Halloween fireworks that are new this year, and fortunately playing nightly.

To meet princesses, the Princess Fantasy Faire is in Fantasyland. It opens an hour after the park opens and lines get VERY long VERY quickly, so if it's really important, I'd designate one morning just to get there early and wait.

jernysgirl got it right with the refurbs. Gadget's go Coaster, Storybookland Canal Boats and Casey Jr. will be down.

Oops! :headache::rolleyes1 I did mean more and more crowded. (I think that I was thinking less and less of an off season.... my brain was a little fuzzy still! :surfweb:)

And I definitely agree about SM and HMH, and the fireworks. Halloween should be lots of fun! :thumbsup2

So it's going to be crowded during the week as well? Dang, guess halloween is a major holiday for Disney fans eh? lol

Thanks alot guys, I now have a plan on what to do. :D
