Has anyone used the 'complimentary' vacation planning service that is mentioned on the reservation receipt? I'm curious as to know what exactly are they 'planning'?
We are using it currently. We've organized an in room celebration, a couple of custom gift baskets, all our restaurant reservations, put our room request for two queens & a higher floor in with them because they will be getting into the room to do the celebration before we check in, and they got our fantasmic priority seating dealt with this morning. So far I'm loving this, it's just so easy.
We use the service almost every trip. It is great. We use it for booking character meals, character encounters, TTMM, reserved seating for "F", to find out about park updates and news....

What character "encounters" can one book? I'm not sure what that even is, let alone something for which one needs a booking.
We're doing a split stay at Residence Inn and PPH. Do you guys think the service would book me for a character meal or Pirates League/BBB appointment that is NOT during our PPH stay, or only stuff on those dates?

I emailed them at the same time I did the rest ahead of the 60 day window, also I let her pick the times based on what we wanted to do that day instead if guessing park hours myself.
I received a response from them and honestly I was disappointed. It was just a sales pitch for me to spend more money on an overly priced product (baskets/room decor/etc.)....I was shocked. Don't tell me something is complimentary when in fact you are selling me on a product. I don't think I would use them to book anything for me either because I'm quick at that.
We had a lot of trouble with the email system this weekend on our trip. DD's BBB appt was on the wrong date and our character breakfast was not reserved at all. Luckily they could both fit us in, but it could have been devastating. I no longer trust the email system and wish I had used vacation planning.
