Good afternoon!

I'm brand new to the boards and have some questions, so I'm hoping you amazing people can help!

I'm a WDW veteran, and will be making my first trip to DLR this September. We're looking at staying at the Disneyland Hotel and I'm curious if there will be hotel discounts offered at that time? I'm used to the predictable discount seasons at WDW and I haven't been able to get any sort of a definitive answer through my Google searches.

I look forward to learning more from yall fabulous folks!

There really is no definitive answer, unfortunately. There may or may not be a discount. You can always book, and cancel/rebook if a soecial promotion is available.
If you are going during Dapper Day (September 12, 2014), you could consider booking onsite through them - http://dapperday.com/sept-12-2014-disneyland
You will not find anything cheaper.
You can also check Orbitz/ebates as well.

The orbitz deal is 20% off until December 2014 with DISCOVER for the code. But, the Dapper Days discount is better if you're in mind to dress up!

Welcome to the boards! It's a bummer that DL to me doesn't seem to have near as many discounts or pin codes that WDW does, but tHats just the way it is :)

Yes, Dapper Day is a fantastic discount (50%). The rates are good Sept 7-18 (checkout the 19th), but I'm fairly sure you have to include the 12th as one of your dates.

ETA: the above link is for the dapper day site. Scroll down and you will see a place to click on for hotel rates; it takes you to another website but it is legit. Here is the direct link https://resweb.passkey.com/Resweb.do?mode=welcome_ei_new&eventID=10941916

From Orbitz.com

If I might find any helpful promotions during my Internet travels, I will post them for you.

Keep your eye on cheaptickets.com also. They offer discounts from time to time of up to 25%.

Remember me harties.... to keep a weather eye on the horizon!

Word on the street is that the onsite DLR hotels have been excluded from the Cheaptickets deals lately.

They are not excluded from the Mousesaver's discount in the newsletter on Orbitz. It's 15% off.

Today II booked at GCH for sept 13-17. Checked orbitz mousesavers15, travelocity with 15 % off coupon, and best rate was through Disney reservations when I asked for AAA rate.

Try "Walt Disney Travel Company". Google it to get the number. Most of the time, they will have the best prices when staying on property and they can take care of most travel needs or questions about DL. The wife books all of our DL trips thru them:cool1:

I booked for August through AAA. As I recall Orbitz may have been slightly better by less than $50 but I was hestitant to book through them.

Check AAA packages through AAA and the room only AAA discount with Disney. The AAA package I booked included 10% off room rate and a small ticket discount as well. Disney does not book AAA packages so you will have to consult your local AAA office.

Whoa! I just check Orbitz for the promo code. Sure enough, it was applicable to the Disney hotels. BUT, Pardise Pier was $3 shy of the same price as Disneyland Hotel. $362 for PP? I don't think so. No wonder they're eligible for discounts. Disney raised the price by over $80/night.

What days are you looking at?? PPH is $258, Disneyland is $330 and GCH is $406 for the days we are going (this is average before discount). I am a Disneyland newbie...are these good prices for the first week of September - it would be the Tuesday-Sunday after Labor Day.

Right now booking through Orbitz would save me $150 over Costco for any of the hotel options even after taking into account the Costo freebies. I am not sure if I should cancel Costco and book through Orbitz or if I should hold off and see if Disney offers a discount, which I can hopefully book through Costco.

Yeah, those are really good prices. I'll be going the middle of November. No holidays the week I'm going so I'm curious what's the deal with high prices.
