Looking for some help. We are WDW regulars and this is our first time to go to Disneyland at Halloween. We will be staying 5 days and currently have a 4 day PH. We have done the Mickey's Not So Scary At WDW, and it was fun, but how does Disneyland compare? Need thoughts to sway husband on the Party vs. just adding 1 additional day. *0*
You already have your park hoppers? I would definitely add a party night versus a park hopper. Maybe do it your arrival day, check in, rest up and then head to the party.
I haven't been to MNSSHP (yet!), but from what I've read, the two parties are pretty different. Yes, there are the similarities of Hallween theming, trick or treating (treat trails at DL), and character M&Gs. But the vibe is different at DL. Since so many guests are local, there is a strong emphasis on dressing up. (However, with the new costume guidelines in place this year, I'm not sure how/if this will affect adult costumes at MHP.) We have seen some amazing costumes (individuals and groups) at MHP over the years. MHP has a smaller parade (traditionally it is Mickey's Costume Cavalcade, but last year it was a full parade, PTN). This year MHP will get the Headless Horseman for the first time. Hallween Screams fireworks is one of the best shows Disney does. You can find a video on YouTube to see the show. The character M&G interaction can be great and MHP brings out rare characters (especially the villains). Personally, I agree with the above poster. Go ahead and try MHP. You'll never know if you'll like it unless you give it a go.
