We have been to WDW several times. We have never been to Disneyland and I need recommendations for hotels. Anyone know anything about the Fairfield Inn listed as "across the street" from Disneyland park? Is it really across the street? If not, how far is the walk? How are the accommodations? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks so much!!

I'm moving this to the trip planning board -- Disneyland (California) -- where you'll get lots of good advice and suggestions!
Also, this thread has lots of good information for you: "Choosing the Right DLR Area Hotel for You" www.disboards.com/threads/choosing-the-right-hotel-for-you.3656512/.
FFI is indeed across the street from the Harbor entrance to the parks -- the walk is about 8-10 minutes at a nice comfortable pace. FFI gets consistently good reviews on this board.
See this recent thread for more info: Fairfield Inn Anaheim.

Welcome to Southern California....where a block is......well......like a block in Manhattan!!!! Disneyland and DCA abut up a very long street and every inch of property east of DIsneyland and DCA is across the street, you can look out your western facing Fairfield Inn door and see Disneyland...it is across the street!!! The HoJo cam gives you a great perspective of what across the street looks like in reality. Alas, the entrance gate to Disneyland....well on day three of your visit....Fairfield is a psychological long walk back!!!

My dislike of the Fairfield is the elevators, it is a Marriott, so no surprises, ....I keep waiting for a Bonvoy Disneyland TV commercial!!!

They recently redid the FFI - it used to be kind of trashy as far as Marriott/FFI goes, but it's all redone. No free breakfast like typical FFI. You can't beat the walk. If you have multiple little kids, I would check out the Courtyard - they have twin bunk beds in every room. We have 4 kids under 7 and all 6 of us were able to comfortably stay in a 2 queen regular room at the Courtyard. We also really like the residence inn down on katella/harbor, but it's more like a 12-15 minute walk depending on how fast you go.
