Be warned that Starbucks in Las Vegas will be some of the most expensive Starbucks you will find!!
I'm not sure where you think you got a banana for 24 cents. Espicially at Disney or a convienience store. If you went to a regular store I think bananas are about .79 to .99 a pound.

also, since we don't normally get to eat authentic mexican food, we want to try:
tacos
chilequiles
rancho huevos
lobster nachos
burritos
enchiladas etc.
lol. i imagine my TR upon returning will be 50% TR and 50% food porn.
to be honest, i really don't mind how expensive the bananas are, as long as they are under $10.00/kilo which is about $5.00/lb ... a cyclone here and then major flooding destroyed our banana crops in this country for pretty much the last year or so, so it's been hard to find decently priced local fruit, lol.

the idea on bringing prepackaged cereal etc is a good idea. and i think we'll probably utilise it in DLR, NY and WWOHP. while in vegas, i think we plan on eating our way up & down the strip. we have some 'must try' foods on our list...
soup in a breadbowl at DLR
monte christo sandwich
celbration bbq at big thunder ranch
jumbalaya/gumbo/chowder at any of the locations (preferrably NOS)
dole whip
cupcake from the bakery
nathans hotdog/pretzel in NY
butterbeer/dinner at 3 broomsticks in WWOHP

If you have a car, drive down Disneyland Dr, between the parks and DLH and PPH. Disneyland Dr becomes West St. Los Sanchez was suggested here on the DIS and I think I will have it every visit from then on.

In NY, don't forget new york style pizza or cheesecake!!
Cheesecake is at Junior's, and you'll get better hotdogs at Papaya Dog, Papaya King, or Grey's Papaya. Wondering what all the papaya is about? Surprisingly fruit smoothies go WONDERFUL with hot dogs.
