Can you substitute for the character breakfast at all? (ie. get another type of food credit)

What about snack? What is that considered?

Thanks for the help. I'm new here planning my first trip to DLR in 25 years! (bringing our 2 yo in August) I apologize if this info is hidden somewhere, I searched and kept on getting things related to Disney world.

honestly I will tell you they aren't worth it. They are basically just voucher's for the cash amount :( Doesn't discount anything :(

But I can tell you that you can do character meals if you buy a premium meal. I think they are called that

Ditto what the previous poster said. You don't get discounts. You're just paying up front for vouchers of certain amounts and then you use them as cash at restaurants. The only difference is you do NOT get change if your total is less than the voucher. Definitely not worth it.

We weren't considering them at all, but were quoted a AAA package deal that gave them to us for $80 more then buying a room and tickets from DLR directly. I asked the agent for one dinner at Goofy's Kitchen and she quote me "goofy meal plan". If we were able to get more then $90 in vouchers for $80 it seemed worth it.

I have an e-mail in for her to quote me a premium character meal and see how much it comes down.
