DLP with a baby?

hello everyone - sorry I have been a bit of a lurker but you have so much info on here its taken me this long to read it all!

I am goin to DLRP during the 1st week of October. We are driving (going on the ferry Dover to Calais) and we are staying at the Explorer.

I was just wondering what facillities there are for babies, for example is there a good range of baby food for sale in the shops, are there facilities within the resort for warming up baby food? I am breastfeeding - does anyone know if there is a policy about this in the resort? (I know what the rules are in UK but not sure about france!) Also what rides will be suitable ( He will be 10 months old, I will have to have him on my knee I suppose..... which rides can we go on does anyone know?

My little boy is now 3 years old but we started taking him to DLRP when he was 5 months old. The facilities are very good in the parks for baby changing and feeding, you have places to heat food up and you can also buy jars and everything you need at the changing facilities. I would say that if you have the space take your own food with you, we did purely because you know it will be food that you baby eats and also it is cheaper. Disney is very child friendly and i never have any problems with my baby.

We did take him on the rides in fantasyland as long as you are happy to take your child on them the staff are happy for you to take them, well we never had any problems not sure whether anyone else has. Its probably the best time to take them because when we went last year my little boy was 2 and he wasnt to happy about going on some of the rides bless him!!

With regards to breast feeding im not really sure, i know in the changing facilities there are rocking chairs for nursing mums but around the parks i cant say i really noticed, its always cold when we go in November so i guess most mums are indoors.

Sorry missed your post earlier. DP breastfed DD whenever she required feeding.

I have no idea what the rules are, but I have nursed in the parks and seen others nursing on benches. Usually I nurse in the lines using a front baby carrier.

It is also my understanding that babies are allowed on any ride without a height restriction. I believe on Astro Orbiter it does say they need to be at least a year old.

Also, if you have the baby in a front carrier they can usually ride in that. I was told on the Snow White ride that I needed to take her out and turn her around, but then the next time I rode, she was sleeping and they didn't request this. I have always kept her in the carrier on Pirates with no problems.

Aw fantastic I always wear DS in a sling and I was intending on taking him round in this and was wondering about the rides!!! Thank you eebadeeba!

It is so much easier when you are both used to the sling already. It makes it much easier on the rides and lines and the shows too.

I have a DD1 who I wear in a front carrier and a DD5. We just keep going as long as we are there and the DD1 sleeps and eats in the carrier whenever she needs to. No stopping for naps or feeding time.

You will have a great time.

I fed my daughter on the back row of the studio tram tour ride discretely with no problems!!
When we took my son at 10 months old he was starting to walk holding on to things and he loved the pocohontas village.

eebadeeba what carriers do you have? I tried to Pm but don't have that priveledge yet! I was thinking about taking my didymos wrap and a mei tai with me.
