We are planning on taking our kids on their first trip to Europe next summer. We have a lot of different activities planned but wanted to spend a couple of days at DLP. My kids have a goal of visiting every Disney Park in the world (they have been to WDW, DL and DL Hong Kong) so we have to visit for at least a day. Most of the advice I am seeing here seems to involve small children. Is DLP fun for bigger kids? Are their big roller coasters? Are there attractions like you find in Epcot? How many days are really necessary, especially since we have seen a lot of Disney elsewhere in the world?

Disneyland Paris has lots of rides for older children.

Our Space Mountain is more intense and features inversions, you've also got Big Thunder Mountain, Indianna Jones (coaster with inversion), Crushes Coaster, RC Racer (half pipe coaster) and Aerosmith (similar to WDW).

There's also rides like Pirates, Toy Story Soldier Drop, Star Tours, Phantom Manor, Buzz Lightyear etc... which should appeal to your kids.

We don't have many Epcot style attractions which is a shame.

If you visit during the peak summer season (mid July-late August) I'd probably want to spend 2 full days there. For most families I would recommend 3 or 4 days but as you're family are quite experienced your time would probably be better spent exploring the rest of Europe.

Yes, there is plenty to do for older children - mine are 6, 13 and 16 and they all had a fantastic time on our last trip. Have a look at my trip report for October to give you an idea of how we spent our 4 days.

We're pricing up to go back again in the summer and they are all very keen, despite us being there 6 times before.
