If we stay at the marriott resort by DLP, is the metro walking distance to marriott. I am thinking of staying at marriott and taking the metro into the city. Your thoughts and comments would be appreciated, as I am brand new to this area. (I can find my way around Disney World with my eyes closed, but this is my first visit to DLP) How much would the metro cost per person each way. I have found some of the websites, but I cannot figure out the conversions. Thanks in advance for any advice you have for me. I can be emailed also at jfogarty@cox.net Thanks again.

I don't think the Marriott is walkable but someone else will tell you definitely.

To get into Central Paris you need to get the RER (regional commuter train which connects onto the metro system). The station nearest DLP is Marne la Vallee but Im not sure if the Marriott is closer to Va d"Europe station.

You can buy a Mobilis ticket which costs approx 15Euros a day and gives you return trip and unlimited use of the metro on that day.
It will take about an hour though to get into the city so is a longish journey depending how many days you are doing it.

I've never had the chance to going to the Marriott's but I do remember they used to have shuffles departing from the Chessy train station. Maybe you should enquire if they still provide that service?

You couldn't walk from the Marriott. You can get the N° 34 bus which takes you to either the RER station at Val d'Europe or the one at Marne la Vallée.

From there you've got a 35-40 minute RER journey into central Paris.

Costs start at 16.60€ for a Mobilis zones 1-5 day pass. Both RER stations listed above are in zone 5 and Paris is in zone 1.

If you are coming for a few days and going several times into Paris there are other options such as a Navigo Decouverte card which costs 5€ for the card and then 21.25€ for unlimited travel all zones (1-5) from Mon to Sun.

If it's Paris that you are planning on visiting and just a day say at DLP I'd say that you would be better looking for a hotel in Paris as you are going to be spending over 2hrs a day commuting :)
