Hi tmoger,
We had no problems catching the train and spending the day there. It was a little crowded each way and the "gypsies" were handing out the "I'm a starving single mother with 2 children, please give me money" cards. Don't fall for it, you see them get off the train and go around a corner and hand the money to a guy and wait for the next train. They weren't menacing or anything. We just didn't take the cards and just said no. If you can say it with a french accent they really don't bother you

So my Aussie accent must not have come through!
I surprised my mum with a trip to Paris and since I am a bit of a Disney fan, she had to come with me to DLP for a day.
Once inside we found a map in english and off we went. I went with an open mind and wondered if DLP would be as good as DL. In my opinion, there were a few differences. It wasn't as clean and well maintained as DL. I found all the cigarette butts all over the ground off putting. A lot of the rides we wanted to go on were temporarily closed due to technical problems and the hours were much shorter (10-5).
We really enjoyed our day at the park. We shopped, went on a few rides and chatted with lots of people. Depending on what your girls would like to see I think it would be doable. Mum and I just spent a lot of time shopping in all the Disney stores stocking up on gifts for family back home.
Catching the train back to Paris after a full day in the park walking was tiring and VERY crowded. A part of me wondered if I should have organized a bus/ticket combo. It was one of those day trip organizations and I think they picked you up?
I didn't get to spend a lot of time putting this trip together as it was a quick decision for us. So depending on what you want to see, it is doable in 1.... But if your girls want to go on all the rides... than its 2 days...
Hope this helped
