WDW regular (25+ trips and counting!) We are planning a trip to Paris in early June 2023 with a side trip to DLP. I am still debating two days versus three days in the parks (leaning towards two) but my big question is should we try and avoid the weekend? We are likely to fly in on a Saturday, and then stay until the following Tuesday (10-day trip). I would like to end the trip with DLP but this would likely mean our park days would be Sunday and Monday. Would it make more sense to go during the mid-week time - say like Wednesday and Thursday? I am not so concerned about cost - but more about crowds and being able to see everything in those two days. I know most touristy things in Paris don't matter a ton if you are there weekday or weekend. But what about DLP? If crowds are significantly different I would definitely put DLP in the middle of the trip. Appreciate any help from the vets.

(Also if you want to comment on 2 versus 3 days that would be great too. It's just myself, wife and DD20.)

We went Thursday through Monday for a weekend in June. Saturday was much rougher and more crowded, but part of that was it was 100 degrees out and the park was really struggling! Sunday had rain later and cleared out crowds, but based on the morning it was less crowded than Saturday.

Just check up on any holidays and events. I think Whit Monday is in May next year. Disneyland Paris Pride is June 17. It looks like a ton of fun, just don’t know about the crowds for those days!

For 2 vs 3 days: it was super important for me to get to ride everything, and at the time we weren’t sure about covid changes, so we made sure to have three full days, Friday-Sunday. (Quick version: When we booked, we would have had to test Monday for our Tuesday flight, so I was writing off Monday for anything fun. They dropped the requirement, so our Monday we could actually spend some time in the parks. And I was worried about transport on Thursday, so I wasn’t sure how much park time we would have got then.) But we also did a 14-day trip (inclusive of travel days). Have you been to Paris before? If not, I would say DLP for 2 days- there’s so much to see in Paris, or you could take day trips out to other places.

And a note on weekends vs week days at tourist sites: something that silly me didn’t realize is that a lot of these tourist places are also popular school field trip spots! We saw lots of groups of kids wearing matching baseball hats at different sites Monday-Friday. Super cute. I think the crowds all balance out in the end.

I've been to Paris myself but my wife and daughter haven't. We are doing this trip for my daughter because this year we "dragged" her to Austria and she finds looking at castles/palaces boring, but she is excited to see the highlights of Paris (because she likes Ladybug and Cat Noir) and she also wants to see DLP. So our plan is really a very Paris-centric trip with maybe a day trip to Versailles (yes - a palace - boo) and then in a few years my wife and I can go back alone and see more of France.

So anyways my concept is to fly to Paris out of Toronto hopefully on a Friday night flight getting in on Saturday. I want about 5 days for Paris and then 2-3 days for DLP. So If we fly our say the following Monday, that gives us 8 full days (Not counting Saturday arrival or Monday leaving). I could consider starting at DLP, but my daughter will be more patient with everything else if she knows that is coming at the end. But at the end that would mean weekend visit, so I'm wondering if we should go more in the middle. So say Sat-Tues in Paris, head out to DLP on Wednesday AM, stay there Wed and Thurs night, then back to Paris for Fri-Mon.

I wouldn't mind attending the Paris Pride except for the crowds would probably make me want to avoid it. That would be a BUSY day I would bet.
