I'm in the planning stages of our first trip to DLP and I need a lot of help. How many days are needed to do the parks. How are the crowds? What other things can we do while in Paris? I' m thinking we will be in Paris 7 days. We would be there July 2007.

Hi utey, welcome to the DLP board! :welcome:
How many days are needed to do the parks. How are the crowds?
I personally think you need three days to do the parks justice - two days to do Disneyland and then a third day to do the Studios and finish off what you have missed/want to do again in the main park but it all depends how long you want to spend in Paris. It will be crowded in July but if possible try to visit weekdays rather than weekends. We went in August last year and even though it was crowded in the week, weekends were noticeably busier. Do you have any firm dates yet? I say that because from approx July 14th each year the park stays open to 11pm and those extra hours are a big help.

What other things can we do while in Paris? I' m thinking we will be in Paris 7 days. We would be there July 2007.
The most obvious thing that springs to my mind is the Eiffel Tower but because I haven't yet visited Paris I will let someone else help you out here! Have you decided whether you will be staying at DLP or Paris yet? It is very easy to visit Paris from DLP, it is about 40 minutes on the train.

We went for the first time a month ago. We needed a good three / four days to do most of it. (Didn’t leave the parks till 3.00 the day we went home) we spent nearly a whole day in Fantasyland but didn't rush around we done everything in there.
We spent about 5 hours in Studios then went back to the Disney Park.

So I would say as 4 full days so you can enjoy just wandering around and looking, not rushing from ride to ride to try and do them all! but I also think you need days to do other things other wise you might get park overload !!!So staying for 7 days should should give you plenty of time to do the parks, go to Paris and still give you a day or so to do other things (Val d'Europe, Sea life centre etc)

I would think it would be very busy in July so prepare yourselves for queues (although you can fast pass some)

The park is also open alot later in the summer but even when it was open till 8.00 pm when we were there if you have Children we never stayed later than about 7.00 and that was the latetest as we wanted to have a meal) and for us the children would have be to tired to go back into the park. (Obviously depends on the age of children if you have them)
We planned to go to Paris but didn't this time but will hopefully next time but lots to do there!

The first time you go you try to do everything! Next time we are there we will definitely want to do some things again. We didn't get a chance to do like the lion king show which we really want to do next time. And then there are other things that we aren’t bothered about
The first time is like a trial run for the next time!!!!!!

I loved doing all the planning and found the information I got on here great!!

Where are you planning to stay? How many adults / childen going?

hi, I would go for a minimum 3 night stay. on are past two trips we went for 4 nights which gave us 4 and half days and we still have not done everything we want.

Welcome

I'd say at least 3 days but Paris is a very beautiful city with lots to see too! it's one of our favourites. Are you just adults travelling or with children too ? Ours have always enjoyed Paris but DLP wins every time! We find one or two days is enough for ours in Paris.

Hi utey and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

You can never have to many days in the parks as far as I'm concerned :) Given that Paris may be the main reason for your trip I'd consider maybe two days to the park. There is so much to see in Paris that you will want as much time there as well :goodvibes

We usually go out of season and usually go for 4 nights. So were not rushing around to much and can have some time to relax.

Both times we have been we've gone for either 4 and 5 nights, just to make sure we have time to get what we want done.

This year we're planning to go to the Eiffiel Tower, Montmatre and the usual touristy type things, but it would depend on the age of children, if any. :thumbsup2

hi

this is our first trip to dlp but have booked up for 5 nights just for the parks as taking children.

dh and i went to paris about 4 years ago (alone) and visited the eiffiel tower and montmatre as mentioned by violet. we also visited notre dame (sp) and other places. we went for 3 days and found there was alot to do. didnt visit dlp though.

hope you have fun whatever you do

How many days is dependant on the main reason for your trip...

1) DLRP then Paris
2) Paris then DLRP
3) Def' both

The minimum I would recommend for DLRP is 2 days, thats 1.5 in Disneyland and half a day at the Studios but if you have more time available for DLRP then it wont go to waste!
