DLP Halloween Party : 31st October

I'm in the throws of pricing up a quick trip in October half term for DD and I as I'd love to go back at Halloween and need a Disney fix having cancelled our summer trip.

If anyone has been to the Halloween Party night before, was it worth the extra cost? Also did lots of people, including adults, make the effort of dressing up? Can teens/adults wear Disney costumes to this party as I know you can in America for special events. I see we also have MNSSHP this year but I think this is aimed more at the young ones being based in Fantasyland.

Another point is as the park doesn't close until 1.00 am do you think the shuttle buses or train will still be running to the outside hotels as I would need to do this as a budget trip?

We're booked for this years party too, planning to dress up, and we aren't child sized (if that makes sense?).
