DLP for one day ? tips and tricks?

We will be leaving Weds for a long weekend in Paris ! Thurs-Mon. Being such huge Disney fans we have decided to spend one day (friday) in DLP. There is a great 2 park ticket deal online now.

My big question is - what do I wear in January?

Will it be busy? Do they have Fast passes? Any general tips or tricks you can share?

Hi, weather will be very, very cold - currently been around -2 or below - so lots of layers I can see you're a regular visitor to WDW so would suggest doing stuff specific to DLP

Fast pass are the ticket style at rides - Big Thunder Mountain has just been re-furbed and looks amazing - definitely do this

Go upstairs in the castle to see the Sleeping Beauty story and downstairs to see the dragon

Alice's maze is so pretty in Fantasyland

If you have time for a nice sit down meal, check out Walts on Main St - if you're lucky you might get a window seat and be able to watch the parade if you time it right.

There are tons of refurbs going on just now in readiness of the 25th anniversary in April - so please don't be put off by all the big green fences and ride closures. The park is really lovely, I hope you enjoy it

For one day, focus on rides we don't have in the US. In the Studios, make sure to get on Ratatouille and Crush's Coaster. Those are two of the best rides in any Disney park, in my opinion (well, of the 2 US parks and DLP). I would actually start in the Studios because Crush's Coaster doesn't have a fastpass and the line gets long. Then you can hit Ratatouille also hopefully without a line (it does have fastpass though) and do any of the other things you might want to do in the Studios before heading over to Disneyland Park.

In Disneyland, I recommend Indiana Jones, Pirates, Small World (it's my favorite Small World), Phantom Manor, Big Thunder (was closed when I went but I've heard it's great), and any of the other dark rides you can get done. They are different enough from the US versions that it's worth it. Go under the castle and see the dragon - very cool and unique to DLP.

You don't need to do Buzz, Teacups, Orbitron, Tower of Terror. Those are exactly the same.

Is Disney Dreams still running? Definitely see that if it is. The parade is okay I think - nothing spectacular and the music is kind of repetitive. Since you only have one day I wouldn't waste time with a sit down meal. Just grab some counter service.

Just keep in mind, Crush's Coaster is a bit rough, IMO. I was a bit woozy after finishing it. But it was fun.

I don't think it was rough at all. Very smooth and swoopy.
