Hello all,

We are very excited for our very first trip to DLP late November. We will be celebrating a birthday and will be visiting during our Thanksgiving Holiday. I would love to know the "must see's/do's/eats".

Thanks in advance
B

Firstly welcome :) take time to have a browse through the Frequent questions and info threads at the top of the forum as they contain alot of info. Secondly why dont you tell us how many of you are going and rough ages so we can advise better as to what rides/restaurants are better suited.

We're there from Nov 21st-26th, can't wait to see Mickeys winter wonderland show, tree lighting and just soak up all the christmas magic:santa:, will also be celebrating DH bday ....oh and of course meet Santa!

Have a fab trip!!! :cool1:

We are traveling as a family of four. We have the 1/2 board meal plan (plus). Our girls are 7 & 9. Our youngest will be turning 7 during our visit. I know WDW like the back of my hand but I feel lost here :confused3

Where to begin:

http://www.dlpfoodguide.com/

that has a list of places to eat and rough prices and menus. There are very few bad places to eat in the parks/village but some are more child friendly menu wise than others. Walts seems a firm favourite of everyone and with the right table and timing you can see a parade while you eat.

Extra magic hours are worth doing though bear in mind only some rides open during the EMH. Be sure to ride space mountain as its different to the WDW one :) and having ridden both I prefer the Paris one. Also be sure to ride crush's coaster, and be warned its not at tame as it looks :P otherwise most of the rides will be similar to the WDW ones. but just as fun to ride :)

Otherwise the main thing to say here is remember at all times the other park is 30 seconds away. Unlike WDW where you need to catch a bus between parks you can walk from the kingdom to the studios in a minute and back again. Which is great. My wife and I will switch parks several times during the day based on what our moods like and what we fancy riding next.

one other thing to remember is weekends are busier as the locals are in attendance.

Otherwise just have a good time :) you cant really go wrong :)
