I was just wondering if you thought this was worth it ... We will be in Paris for four days and have a half day off. Do you think it would be worth it to spend that 1/2 day in Disneyland Paris. This may be the only chance we get to go there. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. By the way ... the 1/2 day will be either July 3 or July 4. Here are my questions?

  1. Is it safe to assume the parks will be open later in the evenings on either of those days?
  2. Does the train from Paris return after closing?
  3. Is it better to buy tickets in advance, or wait until the day of?
  4. What are the crowds like?
  5. Would you rather go to MK or the Studio? (I'm leaning towards MK)

Thanks in advance for your help!

A 1/2 day is better than nothing although if you can stretch it to a full day you'll have a better time in the park IMHO :)

Mid week is better than the weekends :)

If your half day is part of your Adventures by Disney tour, here is some 'scoop' about that amount of time. The half day we had in Paris was after the Louvre visit. That day included lunch, but we opted to NOT do the lunch as we wouldn't finish until at least 2 PM or later. Instead we went on our own to Ile St Louis and shopped/lunched etc. The train to Marne le Vallee is easy and frequent, but does take about 45 min (I think). I would guess the crowds would be a bit heavy being that it is summer although it is midweek you are planning for. When we were there in August, the park was open until 11 PM and yes, there were trains back to the city at that time. By all means, visit the MK - it is exquisite! Several years ago I did this, and I don't think they even had train ressies available. At any rate, it wasn't necessary and the trains were frequent and prompt both to and from DLP. Hope this helps some.

Thanks ppiew .. That definitely helps ... It gives me something to think about. We have two half days free. My daughter definitely wants to go to the Paris Opera House Garnier as she loves the Phantom. I'm considering DLP on the other one. I know 1/2 a day is a teaser, but you gotta make due with what you got!

The Opera House is absolutely gorgeous! Much smaller inside than it looks from the outside. Really would be fabulous! Not too far from the hotels either. You might even be able to do that on a day that you don't have the full half day because no train transportation would be necessary. Play it by ear - your guides will also be very helpful as are the hotel concierges.

Come to think of it, depending upon the time of day you arrive in Paris, you may very well have plenty of opportunity to see the Opera House then! It seems we arrived about 3pm or so, so that would be very doable.
