Can anyone give me their opinions of DLH? Is it worth the extra money compared to the good neighbor hotels? Is it an easy walk? I heard that it has the best pool?

Thanks
Robin

This is my take on the DLH you’re probably going to get a bunch of different opinion but this is mine. I think the property is really nice you have downtown Disney right there. The rooms are good, there suites are awesome, great pool, beds are comfortable (there suite rooms have probably the most comfortable bed in a hotel i have ever slept on), pretty good service, and you have the Disney effect 24-7. Now is it worth the money. I will let you be the judge of that .When we go to DL we are hardly in are room the main thing we care about is cleanliness, Distance, and comfort of the beds. You can get a good neighbor hotel for 100bucks less a night and be completely satisfied, Some hotels give you a continental breakfast (DLH Doesn’t) They also charge you a resort fee of 10-12bucks a day cant remember, they charge for parking if you have it valet parked ( you can park it in a garage free of charge also not too bad of a walk). Now don’t get me wrong we will sometimes stay at the resort for special occasions mainly birthdays just to give it that Disney magic. I think some of the good neighbor hotels are closer of a walk to the park then DLH. We are usually on a budget and have become really good at having a great time and enjoying all the great things Disney has to offer without burning a whole in the wallet. I hope this helps you!!:wizard:

If you can afford it, go for it!!

It's nice to be close, especially if you have little kids. My children loved the pool at DLH!

The only bummer was that there was no free breakfast, we were used to that with other hotels, it does add to the expense list.

How many days are you planning to stay?

It's absolutely impossible to answer for someone else. For me, yes, it's worth it.

I always like to refer to this article, "How Far Is It" that has aerial maps and measures the distance in feet. He makes the point also, like the above poster, that it's hard to judge for each individual whether it's worth it or not. Depends a lot on how budget conscious you are, etc.

Hope that helps!
