My family of five will be staying at DLH this summer after many offsite stays. What is the best way for DLH guests to get to the parks? I know the DD monorail stop is an option along with just taking the somewhat long walk. What about the parking lot trams? Are they an option as well? Thanks - my children are DD12, DS10, and DS5.

Your choices are a short walk to the momorail, or, walk to the parks. The walk is around 10 minutes at a slow pace.

During busy times the Monorail may take several cycles. I always avoid it during busy times. I would recommend you walk to the parks in the morning unless you are getting a late start. Then maybe use the Monorail. If you are going to DL. DCA is not supported by the Monorail. So you will always need to walk to DCA. Do use the special GCH entrance to DCA both coming and going.

I appreciate it - anyone know if taking the monorail back to DD late at night is a several cycle wait too?

One thing I found out last month, the monorail stops picking up in Tomorrowland at park closing time. We watched the Memories show at Small World and thought we could hop on the monorail back and it was already closed.

Depends at what time. At ket times like when the fireworks end at 9:45PM the line builds. Also anytime after 9PM and especially at park closing it will get long.

For us we tend to use the Monorail for getting back to the hotels for say lunch or dinner - maybe at DTD. So at noon or 5-6PM. At those times it is usually a one cycle wait.

It's really not a very long walk. No worse than staying on Harbor Blvd.
