me and my fiancee are getting married in May next year and we are going to be having our honeymoon at DLP as this is where we got engaged and quite frankly we love it there! :rotfl2:

Obviously as its a special occasion we would like to splash out a little bit and try one of the suites at the DLH, does anyone know which suite would suit a honeymoon best and also any ideas on prices? I understand its probably going to be quite expensive, but I cant seem to find prices anywhere on the internet!

Thanks in advance.

These are last seasons prices so from the 8th Nov 2011 -28th March 2012

Classic room - 561€/1060€ per night depending on wether it was classed at low-mid-high season

Castle Club room - 812€/1380€ per night again depending on how the season was classed

Suites - 1268€/4793€ per night again according to season

Breakfast and room tax on top.

They will have risen on the 29th of March and will do so again on the 7th of November this year and so on :)

Have a look at DLH Fan's blog - he has rates on there. I believe Suites & CC rooms never have discounts on them - full price only, so the rack rates should be correct. You're looking at min of around 1300 euros per night up to 4800 euros per night - not sure which suite is which. I think you would have to call them for that detail.

Good luck with all the wedding preps etc :):goodvibes

I'm fairly sure someone also has a personal blog on the website about suites at the DLH (Paul Gannon maybe?), he has photos of the some of the suites too.... might be worth googling.

Beat me to it Carrie - did you use DLH Fan's site too? It's a great one :-)

They might have done to start with, I cut and pasted from an old post of mine ;), but I'll have found them within his posts on DCP rather the blog ..same as those bags which I am going to add a photo too :goodvibes

Ouch :rotfl2:

I wonder though what the price is for individual suites as I believe some suites are more expensive than others - so I'm guessing somewhere within those price brackets?

Many thanks everyone!! ok we are now thinking of maybe just going for the Castle Club as the suite's are sooo expensive per night!!! I will try and push for a cheeky free upgrade :rotfl2: but just staying in the DLH with the Castle Club extra's on our Honeymoon is special enough!

The "basic" suite will be 1350€ and the "grandest" will be at 5513€ ...The others are inbetween as looking at it properly and reading the forum they stay the same price all season long

:)

No problem :)

Recently read somewhere that you pay extra for a CC room with a park view as opposed to a non park view but can't remember where. Might have been DLH fan's blog? So, bare that in mind if you do book... You could always go for the non park view and try for an upgrade to a park view room with it being your honeymoon.... ;)

I can't imagine the Suites being that busy that much at those prices, but as there are only 4 in that hotel, I guess you just don't know :confused3.

FWIW, I've read several times that the Newport Bay Club has a fabulous, unusual shaped suite which is meant to be great for honeymoons - nice views etc as well :goodvibes.

Yes, that is what I thought Carrie - must be the Sleeping Beauty (think that's the top one??) at the top price! :scared1:

I love the DLH but that's insane!

You could have 2 weeks at a WDW Deluxe resort (which are all much higher standard than DLH) with flights for less than 4 days in CC.

I think I'll have to resign myself that if there are never discounts on CC I won't be staying there.
