We'll be at the DLH, July 1-8. We have upgraded to the Concierge level, and per travel agent suggestion, requested the Sierra Tower. Does anyone know when they do "room assignments" and is it a good idea to request a specific floor or room? We haven't been to DLH in many years...so it's completely different.

Any suggestions out there from DLH veterans....what's your favorite view/floor/room? Does it do any good to call ahead and request? There will be 4 of us....DH, DS-15, and DD-turning 10 in DL, and me-mom. We have requested a roll away....for DS. Our room will probably be crowded with the extra bed....but need it for comfort at night!!

Any info/suggestions about DLH rooms/tower/accomodations/requests would be greatly appreciated! Also....how's room service....although we have concierge....with continental breakfast.....mom needs "protein" to start the day....cannot live on muffins alone...so will be looking for an omelette to be delivered!! Loving DFamily will gladly graze on continental breakfast fare!! Countdown is on.....5 more days!!! Yeehaw!! Thanks in advance for info....Karen:Pinkbounc

I have never stayed in Concierge but I have stayed in the Sierra Tower twice. The rooms were just remodeled and are fun and nice. The rooms in the Sierra tower are also fairly large. They have two queen size beds and a daybed. If your son can sleep on the daybed you won't need the rollaway. Request a theme park view in the Sierra tower and you should be able to see Downtown Disney, Disneyland and DCA. The bathroom layout is better in the Sierra tower as well. It has a nice large counter with two sinks a bathtub and a seperate room with a toilet.
Sorry I can't help with the concierge part.

You'll LOVE the concierge service and the Sierra Tower. There really is no need to fax a special request; all the rooms are exactly the same and the concierge rooms are generally on the upper floors with awesome views of Downtown Disney and the parks.

Room service is fine, the breakfast offerings at the lounge are QUITE good (no omelets, though) and there is water and soda available throughout the day. In the evening there is a wine/appetizer service for two hours and late night cookies and coffee after that.

Enjoy! :D
