Hi There

If main entrance opens early does DLH monorail start at same time? Is it safer to just do main gate or is there any advantage to monorail?

Also, where abouts does monorail drop you off inside DL?

Thx for info

Unless things have changed, the monorail does not start operating until the posted general opening time for that day. MM or other early entry options will not get you an early ride into the park from the monorail.

The monorail park terminal is above the Finding Nemo, aka submarine ride.

We just came back from 5 days at Disneyland. Yesterday we were able to take the monorail in to the park at the beginning of MM. In fact, there was a line at the monorail station and we were let in to board the monorail slightly before 7am. I looked at my phone when we went past the lines to get in to the park and it was 8:02. I guess it depends on if you plan to be one of the first in line at the turnstiles you will be in the park faster than those on the monorail. We were running behind and the kids didn't want to walk to the turnstiles so when we left the Disneyland Hotel it was just faster to go on the monorail. We ended up going on Buzz and Star Tours with no lines then walked over to take a picture at the partner's statue. PP was down so we went on Alice in Wonderland and came back to see PP was open with a little line. Then we went on Dumbo 2 times back to back.

The monorail has been a valid method of entrance during MM for multiple years. Not necessarily the quickest way to get to the attractions (and if you miss that first one, you certainly won't beat the main entrance crowd), but it is an option.

It's okay to skip the crowds, but there's nothing like the heartpounding skipping a beat of walking under the train bridges and seeing the castle, main street, etc., for the first time of the day. Whether it's your first trip of 1,000th trip.

Staying at the DLH we use the monorail a lot, especially for some of the early admissions. Also a great way to end the day, get on at the park station and ride it to DTD. Just a short walk to the DLH....:cool1:
