Hi all,

I decided to take my cousin's daughter on a long weekend trip to DL at the end of this month to celebrate her upcoming sweet sixteen. She LOVES WDW but has never been to DL, so I thought this would be a great gift for her, so I am very excited about it (as is she).

My question to all of you is, can you help me come up with some kind of disney related goodie bag with small fun items that would be appropriate for this age group. I was thinking of giving it to her either at the airport before we board the plane or after we check in to the hotel (maybe put it on her bed while she is freshening up after being on the plane).

Also, to parents of teen girls...do you ever have issues with moodiness/attitudes while at DL? It seems crazy that someone can get moody at the Happiest Place on Earth, but I haven't been a 15 year old in a long time. I think she will be fine, esp since she is away from her brothers and mom and dad and the whole weekend will pretty much be all about her, but I was wondering about that.

Thanks in advance!

Kristi

Trading pins. Disney keychain, pens, Minnie Mouse hair band, Disney wallet, Sunglasses etc. Disneystore online has free shipping right now for your entire order, if you purchase one Disney park item. They have been having some good sales.

Those are all excellent ideas :thumbsup2 My DD will turn 15 during our trip and she has gotten pins to trade, shiny pennies to press, a hidden Mickey book, and a cute new bag to carry. Have fun on your trip :goodvibes

ETA: Yes, sometimes she's moody (no matter where we are) it's hormones! But, the major moodiness is generally reserved for her parents. She's generally very pleasant with everyone else :)

Thanks for all the great ideas! I can definitely use those...I esp like the hidden mickey book idea...I could give it to her at the airport and she could read it on the plane!

I don't think she will be too moody either...she absolutely reserves her most moody for her parents! :)

Maybe add a package of glow bracelets, my dd is 15 and I think she had more fun with them on our last trip than the little kids did. I get them at Michaels for a dollar.

I'm not a parent myself, but I was pretty much "Queen of the Sullen Teens" as a teenager . And I can honestly say, the bad attitude would disappear once I got through the Park's turnstiles.

You might want to consider some non Disney items for the goodie bag. Teenage type magazine, flavored lip gloss, etc. I'd ask her Mom what she is into and add some of those types of items. Oh and Disney dollars are loved by anyone old enough to shop. :)

I'm taking my 15 yr old nephew on his first trip to DL (also at the end of this month) - he has been to Disney World several times. We just got a book he has been wanting to read for the plane.

Disney gift cards, Teen magazines, gum or candy snacks are all good ideas. We have a hidden Mickey book for WDW but I did not know there was one for DL
