DL Weekend or Weekday in Oct??

Hi there ~ I am going with my hubby to LA in Oct. I can go by myself to Disney Land on Thursday or wait till he is done with business and go together on Sunday. I know it is always crowded on weekends. It would be the weekend before Halloween so I am afraid that Sunday will be crazy crowded. We are used to going to DW in summers so would be nice not to have the insane crowds. Advice please for planning!
