Some of our family are planning on visiting WDW with us this summer. They have only been to DL and we've never been to DL.
So I was wondering if there was a listing some where of what (if any) major rides are there in WDW that AREN'T in DL (so that we can be sure that they take the opportunity to experience them)

Thanks,
Mike

Animal Kingdom:
The Safari
Legend of the Lion King Show
Dinosaur
Expedition Everest
Kali River Rapids (akin to Grizzly River)

Epcot:
Spaceship Earth
Mission: Space
Test Track
Maelstrom
All of World Showcase

Studios:
Beauty and the Beast Show
Rock n' Roller Coaster
Car Stunt Show
Indiana Jones Show
Backlot Tour

Magic Kingdom:
Mickey's Philharmagic

There are likely more, but these are what I consider "major"

The Hall of Presidents and Liberty Square do not exist at DL.

The versions of Space and Big Thunder are different versions of what is at DL. Haunted Mansion (Manor) is different and Pirates is different also. Splash the seat design and track is different.

The Peoplemover still runs at MK under a different name now (Transit Authority or something mundane) but they will love that. I do as a DL frequenter and MK once and awhiler!

Just a couple things off the top of my head.

There are all kinds of differences and since they are DL experts they will have fun noticing how they are both unique to one another.

To this I would add Finding Nemo: the Musical at AK; The Seas with Nemo and Friends at Epcot; Great Movie Ride and Voyage of the Little Mermaid at DHS; and TTA, Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor, and Country Bear Jamboree at MK.

Oh my gosh! I am so excited for you and your family!!! The lists above are great, make sure you also take the time to see their Fantasmic as it is slightly different than ours. They have an actual theater there in the Disney Hollywood Studios, so you will actually get to sit on bleachers. It is not necessarily a better show, just different and great to have a seat!

Make sure you take the time to to enjoy the Disney hotels, it is fun to ride the monorail to some of the Deluxe resorts and check them out and have dinner or lunch. Be prepared! It takes a lot more planning to be ready for WDW vs. a trip to the DLR. Make sure you get ADRs, in Disneyland I just walk up and eat where ever...but in WDW that is not the case.

Have a blast!!! :wizard:

I have been to disneyland many times and just recently got back from a trip to WDW. It's definalty true it takes more planning for WDW. It's a completely different expreience. There is so much more to do! I don't think it's better. Just very different. Have fun!!!

Don't forget about the various resorts. I think you could spend a couple of weeks just moving around and checking those out

Keep in mind that there are rides at Dl that are not at WDW. Unfortunately for us, DD's favorite is Alice so when we were at WDW she was very dissapointed. Also, be prepared for comparisons between the two parks. Several of the simialr rides are considered by some to be better at DL

Hi, I'm looking for just the opposite. What attractions are at Disneyland / CA that aren't at WDW? The last time I was at DLR was Oct of 2001, what has been added since?

Thanks!

MK at WDW has Aladin's Flying Carpets.
Tiki Room show is different.
