DL vacation package question

If I book a vacation package with DL at a Neighbor hotel can I book a longer stay and if we decide to shorten the stay by a day or two can we do so without any penalty? We would like to book a seven day package for next summer when available with hopes that a seven day park tickets will become available again. If not, we will probably shorten the stay to just five days and buy five day tickets. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thank you.

The chances of a 7-day ticket becoming available again is pretty darn slim.... They took it away 3 years ago or so, and it doesn't seem to have squelched the attendance numbers. So, I wouldn't base a vacation's length on them "maybe" doing 7 day tickets again.

Thanks for the information. I thought that there may be a chance for a 7 day park ticket to return since DL just announced a 7 day photo pass. Fingers crossed!

..... Honestly, I hadn't even thought about that announcement! Good catch. I'd still be hesitant to hinge my whole vacation on it, but....

Well now that my daughter is in high school and can't take long enough away for us to enjoy a 7 day pass...... it sounds like about the right time for them to reintroduce it.
