Hey Everyone,
WOW, is all I have to say. I just came home from a very long vacation. The last leg of it was spent in DL. It was my first time and I had a blast! I loved both of the theme parks and was only dissapointed with the Matterhorn being closed for refurbishment.
From what I heard on the boards, it sounded like pin trading was scarce at DL, but A.K.A.Cruella and I both agree that there is a good amount of pin trading at the DL resort. I met akacruella and mdstrwberry at the Main Street pin area, and traded a very nice woman whose name was Diane for the Sorcerer Mickey Hat Mystery Pin!!!!! I wanted it soooooo bad. There were pin carts scattered all over the property and most stores had CM's wearing lanyards. I found that the Grand Californian front desk, Treasures in Paradise in DCA, and Greeting from CA in DCA had the best CM Lanyard selections. Also, get to the lanyards early in the morning for the best selection.
We stayed at the Grand Californian and we absolutely loved it! You wouldn't believe how convenient the hotel is until you stay there. Our balcony was directly over the GC entrance to DCA with a great view of Grizzly Peak and Soarin'. We took the elevator down and walked right into the park, and DL was only a little bit farther in the opposite direction.
If you want a place to eat go to Goofy's Kitchen for Brunch. It was sooooo good and it has a very large selection.
The DL resort was awesome, but WDW will always be my home turf. Only one more month 'til WDW!
