DL to LAX and Flight Times

We need to fly out of LAX to San Francisco on May 2nd. I would like to go in the late afternoon and spend part of the day at disney. What times should we avoid the roads? I am looking at flights that leave between 4-7pm. Not sure how long of a drive it is but what would rush hour times be?

FWIW - took DL bus from DL to LAX Sat. March 17. Left DL at 11:40am and arrived at LAX at 12 noon. You can take HOV lane with 2 or more in the vehicle for some of the trip. Traffic was fine. You end up travelling on a few freeways, so plan ahead with a map to know your route.
