DL right before Thankgiving

So my husbands class schedule may force us to move our vacation from a weekend in late October to the week of Thanksgiving...we would arrive the Saturday before and depart back home on Thanksgiving day. Has anyone gone during this time? I cannot decide if its worth braving the crowds or not :/ I have been to DL in the summer before and founf it to be managable??

We have done that week for 3 years. There are definitely crowds, but if you start early, take midday breaks and come back in the evening, it's completely doable. We're going down slightly earlier this year (APs expire), so it's something we find to be greatly enjoyable!

We've been in all the summer months before and the exception of June this year, how found the crowds comparable (this year they were much lighter). The bonus is you don't have to deal with the heat in Nov!
